The New York State Mesonet (NYSM) consists of a network of over 126 advanced weather stations that gather data every 5 minutes. With a daily collection of nearly one million observations and a total archive of over one billion observations, the NYSM provides users with real-time data from all surface stations through this mobile application.
Operated at the University at Albany and backed by the SUNY Research Foundation, the NYSM is a project developed by the xCITE Laboratory within the Atmospheric Sciences Research Center.
